I was reading my Bible the other day and I came upon a Scripture that I know quite well and have heard many times… “I have come that you might have life, and life to the full” John 10:10b. You know, I was reminded of when I first gave my life to Christ and how I sought God in my teenage years. Wow… it amazes me how Jesus gave up His life just so I could experience an amazing life on earth and eternity with Him. I was reminded of why I became a Youth Pastor… not for a paycheck or so I could stay young, but because I know what God did in my life during my teen years.
 
I know that God has something better than what most of this Generation is experiencing. Sometimes, it’s easy to get caught up in the mundane details of life and to forget the big picture. I know that God has incredible plans for this Generation. I believe that teens can live a life beyond the norm and that it isn’t necessary to settle for less than God’s best. That’s why I am so passionate about doing whatever it takes to reach our youth! But I can’t do it without you; I want to challenge and encourage all of you who are parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and neighbors. You have a greater influence in a teen’s life than you realize. Maximize your impact by encouraging all kids in your sphere of influence to get plugged into Bayside.  We have multiple ways to get connected: our services, small groups, events and trips. We are always trying to create new ways for students to grow in their walk with God and reach their full potential in Christ.
 
I am excited about what God is doing and look forward to what lies ahead!
