Ladies of Bayside,
Wow! Can you believe that it is September already? September is the month we kick off our Fall Small Groups at Bayside. Rally Day is September 9th and 10th. We really want to encourage you to prayerfully consider joining a small group this semester. We have a number of ladies who have committed to leading a small group, social and/or Bible study. We cannot emphasize enough the importance of building relationships with other women, who are also seeking God, and staying connected through small groups. Also, the Women of Faith Conference is coming up November 10th and 11th. Put it on your calendar to attend an event that can rekindle your faith and spark new relationships. For more information or to sign up, come to the Heart to Heart table in the foyer. Every week at the Heart to Heart table, there is someone to answer questions about upcoming events and even pray with you, if needed. We hope this word will encourage you today to find your "secret place."
Psalms 91:1(AMP) "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty."
Today's key verse is taken from the Amplified Bible and I love the words "remain stable and fixed." I, also, love the notion of a "secret place" which suggests that only you and the Father know what's there. The original Hebrew describes this shelter as a place of protection. The author of this Psalm uses the word "dwells," which means to inhabit or to be settled. I can almost visualize each of you curling up in this place of secrecy and protection. You go there to find rest, to gain strength and confidence to make the "goal" you are attempting. Bless you today, dear friends. Rest in His perfect shelter of secrecy. Then stand up in faith, align yourself within His shadow, and He will give you success.
